Experience Equinox Restaurant

Dining at Equinox is a regional and seasonal experience. Chef Todd Gray has remained true to his roots of the mid Atlantic region by embracing local products with traditional techniques inspired by Chef’s French and Italian training, with a modern flair. Thanks to a recent renovation, Equinox’s décor compliments the cuisine by combining cozy organic colors and lines with a fresh, crisp atmosphere that firmly establishes a clean city chic. There are many different rooms to experience within the restaurant from the atrium to the private wine room.

Mission Statement: Chef Gray uses fresh, organic, and local ingredients giving his food a distinctly Mid-Atlantic flavor. Equinox is fully committed to the connotation of its namesake, seasonal cooking using products harvested in accordance with the environment and the earth's natural tempo.

Wine Program: The Wine List at Equinox is constantly evolving in keeping with the seasonal feel of the menu. For special events, our wine manager can tailor the wine selections to your taste and occasion.

What We Offer

As simple and elegant as the food, the dining room at Equinox matches the cuisine in its mission for simplicity and purity. There are four distinct dining areas:

A Lovely, Glassed Street-Side Garden The atrium, is set right on the street to give an open-air feeling to the close proximity to the White House and other DC landmarks. The fireplace and textured glass provide naturalistic elements to create an urban feeling in the space. The atrium is open all year long and can be completely private which can accommodate small and large parties to 65.

The Main Dining Room The main dining room offers a more playful yet distinguished environment. This is where the power diners find quiet booths and small intimate tables for two. The aura in the dining room is more placid and comforting.

A Private Wine Room The private wine room is just off the main dining room and can be closed off completely for smaller private affairs up to 12. Wines lining the wall provide the atmosphere of dining in an exclusive cellar with warm and romantic lighting.

A Private Wine Room The bar is a little more festive. People sitting at the bar experience food and wine pairings and an occasionally visit from the chef.
